Elderly Council

Introduction

The “Elderly Council” (EC) aims at facilitating the civil participation of our members and increasing public awareness on issues related to the seniors. Our objectives include:

  1. Facilitate members to understand the social issues related to seniors
  2. Encourage members to actively participate in advocating reasonable social policies
  3. Promote public awareness on seniors through social education

Service Target

  • Persons aged 50 or above who care about social issues related to the seniors

Application

  • Eligible persons can submit the “Application Form” in person to any of our “District Elderly Councils” (application form will be attached)

Withdrawal

  • Members can request for withdrawal from service by:
    1. Return the membership card in person to  any of our “District Elderly Councils”
    2. Return the membership card by post to “Elderly Council” (Address: 5/F, 33 Granville Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, attention to “Active Ageing & Community Care Service”)

Monday to Saturday

8:30am – 1:00pm

2:00pm – 5:30pm

Co-organised the senior citizen summit and met Social Welfare Department representatives to voice out opinions on “Community Service Voucher Scheme for the Elderly”

Organised Top-10 Age Friendly/ Un-Friendly Election
