Use of Funds

Proceeds raised, after deducting programme expenses, will be used to provide clinical assessment and support to foster children and their carers, as well as to implement a community inclusion programme for autistic children. Surplus will be injected into the HKCS Service Development Fund to develop and render non-government-funded services for the disadvantaged and neglected.

Inclement Weather Arrangements
  • The walk will be cancelled if the amber/red/black rainstorm signal or the tropical cyclone signal No.3 or above is issued or remains hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory at 9:00 a.m. on the Walkathon day. Even if the signal is cancelled later, the walk will not continue.
  • If adverse weather conditions occur (e.g. heavy rain etc.), even if the rainstorm signal or the tropical cyclone signal has not been hoisted, HKCS reserves the right to cancel the event for safety’s sake.
  • If the walk is cancelled due to inclement weather, it will not be rescheduled and donations made will not be refunded.
  • Regardless of whether HKCS has cancelled the walk or not, participants shall decide if they would attend the walk in accordance with their own health and safety conditions.
  • If it is raining or with unstable weather on the Walkathon day, please bring your own rain gear.
  • If you have any enquiries, please contact the service unit that you have submitted the enrolment for the walkathon or the Secretariat. If you have any urgent enquiries on the Walkathon day, please contact the Secretariat at 8100 1393.
