Children's Creative Arts Exhibition - Color Fiesta
The idea of nurturing children's creativity has always been one of the major focuses of our nursery school education. One of our ways to raise the public's awareness of children's creativity is by exhibiting the children's masterpieces.
This year, the exhibition to display the ingenious artwork of children aged 4 to 6 years old from our 9 nursery schools took place at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre from 1 June through 4 June.
There were 224 paintings and 113 pieces of three-dimensional artwork. The children drew inspiration from picturesque natural sceneries, traditional culture, appreciation of the arts and life experiences. Their feelings were expressed through their artwork by using dots, lines, colors and various materials.
The sponsors of this exhibition were Lai On Products Industrial Limited and Osage Art Foundation. With the parents' full support and consent, the exhibited artwork was put on sale to raise money. A book of the exhibited artwork was also compiled and sold for HK$100 each. The amount raised would be used to support our Children's Art Development Fund.
We hope the general public will actively support arts education for young children and help to nurture children's creativity.
