Objectives:
  • To promote mutual support in the community
  • To provide opportunities of interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds through volunteer involvement
Who can join the Movement?
  • Local South Asians and local residents of all races who are interested in serving people from diverse cultural backgrounds
Contents:
  • Trainings on skills and knowledge of being a volunteer
  • Participation in short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities including:
    • involvement in charity flag/ticket selling days,
    • assistance in organizing outdoor and indoor activities,
    • offer interpretation and translation support,
    • being tutors in variety of program and interest classes
    • commitment in mentorship program etc.
