The CLAP for Youth@ JC Project is a five-year project initiated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (HKJC) since Sept 2015. We always believe our youth are full of potentials; and our programs aim at unleashing their potentials with a person-centered approach. Our services are tailor-made in order to motivate the youth to change, assist them in thinking about their life directions, career planning and engaging in their meaningful developments.

  • To motivate youth for multiple pathway explorations through one-stop career and life planning service.
  • To create a cross-discipline support network for youth’s development.
  • To mobilize public concern and support for youth’s career and life planning based on their interests and talents.
Service Targets and Service Area

Youth aged between 15 -21 without schooling and employment, high risk youth in non-engaged status who lived Kowloon West District. (Yau Ma Tei, Tsimshantusi, MongKok, Shamshuipo, Kwai Tsing & Kowloon City)

Service Scope

Casework, group work, career and life planning, community network volunteer service, experiential activity.

Service Characteristic
  • Establish the new identity
    responsible social worker will conduct one-on-one service to closely guide the youth and help them get out of their own confusion and slowly build their own entities.
  • Re-connect with the community
    our team will reach out and home visits to our service targets. Strategic engagements aim at assisting our service targets to start to re-connect with the community.
  • Tailor-made programs
    assess the needs of youth meticulously to come up with different milestones for their changes. Tailor-made interest programs provide for arousing the motivation of our service targets. And also all round experiential activities enhance youth’s self-understanding and practical ability, explore and plan their future, and also the manifest blueprint for their lives.
  • Collaboration platform
    as unifying youth, parents, volunteers and other valuable partners to create a cross-sectoral collaboration platform and networks in order to provide synergy in assisting youth to find their own paths for future development.
Service Application

Service users and their families can contact our social workers for enquiry and application for services. Counseling service is free of charge.

Service Withdrawal

Service users can withdraw from the service by verbal or written notification to the social workers of the Project.
