Youth Enhancement Scheme (YES) 2008
With regard to enriching the life exposures and sharpening youngsters' aspiration to future, a tripartite collaboration between Hysan Development Company Limited (Hysan), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's School of Business and Management (HKUST Business School) and ISSA successfully came off in 26th August, 2008.
The scheme started in early July and ended in August, which attracted around 25 youngsters from different cultural backgrounds. Through seven weeks of English-speaking workshops conducted by different top professionals about life skills as well as outdoor activities including, a day camp, city orientating and day tour in HKUST campus, participants had not only gain useful knowledge and widen their exposures but gained genuine friendship with other peers, including a remarkable mentoring relationship with mentors from the HKUST Business School.
We would like to appreciate the contributions of our two excellent partners, Hysan and HKUST Business School. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to a group of enthusiastic mentors who play a vital role in demonstrating shinning examples for others to follow. In addition, we are proud of the active participation and positive learning attitudes of all the youngsters. We hope that all youngsters could make use of what they learnt during this meaningful summer in their daily life and future development.
