To concern the growth of youth people, and to assist them to become mature, responsible and contributive members of the society.
Service Goals
We adopt an integrative and a multi-level social work approach to meet our youth's multifarious needs. Our ultimate goals are:
- To enhance the problem solving ability of young people;
- To strengthen the systems between young people with their families, schools and society so as to facilitate a positive and healthy environment for the growth of youth;
- To empower young people and help them to develop their potentials.
Service Recipients
Service Target: Children and youth aged 4 to 24 and their families.
We especially concern the needs of:
- Young people who are deprived in social resources;
- Young people who are vulnerable to undesirable influences.
Service Content and Approach
Our services include children services, teens and youth services, and family life education. We also intervene on community level and liaise with local primary and secondary schools. Hopefully through these networks, we can serve our young people more comprehensively.
Apart from providing different nature of groups, programs and courses, our team also render individual and family counseling to those in need. We also take initiative to reach out and work with those young people who are vulnerable to bad influence in places which they frequently wander. In addition, we provide stationing school social work service in Delia Memorial School (Hip Wo), Matteo Ricci College Kowloon, ECF Saint Too Canaan College and United Christian College (Kowloon East). Services offered in School include counseling service, groups and programs as well as coordinating community resources to serve the students and their parents.
Membership
Members can receive professional services from our social workers and can enjoy special discounted prices in joining groups, programs and courses in four Happy Teens Club of our Agency.
- Individual Membership: Children and youth aged 4 to 24.
- Family Membership: Parents having children and youth of aged 4 to 24 can apply for family membership.
- Annual membership fee for Individual Membership: $29.
- Annual membership fee for Family Membership: $60.
- Our members can have tailor-made services from our social workers, use our facilities, and join our activities, programs and courses at preferential prices.
Entry to and Exit from Service
Anyone who wants to apply for our programs can fill in the relevant application forms and pay the program fees. Recruitment is mainly based on a first-come-first-served basis. Some of the programs may have pre-set criteria for selection. For detailed information and arrangement, please refer to the poster and leaflet of the programs or enquire our duty worker.
If individual or family counseling service is needed, members are welcome to approach us and appointment will be arranged with our social workers. The service is free of charge.
The membership of our service unit will be expired after 1 year. For those who do not renew membership before of the membership expiry date, membership will be void automatically. Those who would like to quit our membership before the expiry date can send their written application to our unit. Membership fee is non-refundable.
