From the very first day in serving the Hong Kong community, Hong Kong Christian Service had had a group of dedicated volunteers who, out of love and willingness to work unconditionally, joined us to serve peoples from different social sectors.

On our fiftieth anniversary, we would like to thank our group of invaluable volunteers who had been greatly supporting our work and serving hand in hand with us. We also would like them to better understand our mission and work while taking the opportunity to build a close network among them. Hence, "A Call for True Heart Ambassadors" was initiated in August 2002. In the September's service parade, nearly 200 volunteers signed up to be our "True Heart Ambassadors", to volunteer their time working in various HKCS service centres.

Amongst our "True Heart Ambassadors'", the youngest one is five and the oldest one is over seventy. Their sincere hearts of love simply overwhelm us and truly worth our respects. We implemented 23 meaningful serving programs during such time, which included: elders serving children, children serving elders, youth serving elders and the handicapped. Hence followed by a sharing session providing a platform for our volunteers to express and share their feelings and views.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of live, one who decides to give one's own personal time and energy to serve others is indeed a wonderful act. Hong Kong Christian Service would surely love to learn and grow together with our volunteers in the years to come.
