The appreciation-Trio Expressing Gratitude to Our Precious Working Partners

"Affirming our Foundation, Bringing Hope to the Future" is our slogan for the agency's Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration. To celebrate and share our appreciation on district level, a Working Group on Community Networking and Liaison was formed and a series of community projects will be organized in three major serving areas of our agency - Tsimshatsui, Kwun Tong and Shamshuipo District. Apart from celebrating our Fiftieth Anniversary, there are at least three other objectives for the projects. First of all, it is to show our heartfelt appreciation to our service users, volunteers, cooperating parties and agencies for their ongoing support in each community. Secondly, through these community projects, we aim to enhance our community network among different units of Agency and cooperation with other working parties in the district. Thirdly, it is to promote our unique agency and service image on districts level.

The period from 5th October to 20th October 2002 has been named as 'The Appreciation-Trio'. Throughout this set time, souvenirs and appreciation letters will be distributed to our service users, volunteers and our working partners in the community to express our gratitude for their ongoing support. In addition, all units would be decorated and all staff would wear badges that are specially designed to bring out the festivity of our Fiftieth Anniversary.

To promote the uniqueness of our agency image as one that provides people-centered and holistic social services, there will be three '50th Anniversary Performances and Carnivals' organized in three districts, i.e., Tsimshatsui, Shamshuipo and Kwun Tong on 5th, 13th and 20th October respectively. More than 30 service units will be involved and each of the participating units will invite their service users to perform and participate in the celebration. It is also our great honor to invite Mr. Lam Hei Chung, District Social Welfare Officer (Yau Tsim Mong), Ms. Woo Ying Kay, District Social Welfare Officer (Shamshuipo), Mr. Tam Kwok Kiu, MH, Chairman of Shamshuipo District Council and Mrs. Chiu Lam Sau Lai, Assistant District Social Welfare Officer (Kwun Tong) to be our honorable guests for the three Performances and Carnivals in Tsimshatsui, Shamshuipo and Kwun Tong respectively. Through these programs, we hope to promote the unique image of our agency as a holistic multi-service agency that has been and will continue to serve Hong Kong beyond the fifty years .
