A Decade's Milestone - Staff Award Scheme

At all times, Hong Kong Christian Service strives for excellence, vision and creativity in professional services, which has always been stated in one of our mission statements. Such ambition can only be fulfilled through teamwork and the support of our staff.

The panel of adjudicatorsWe value our team of staff. We believe it is essential to recognize the outstanding quality of our staff and service units. We trust that it is a positive way to build up team spirit in any organization. Hence, 10 years ago we established an annual Staff Award Presentation to acknowledge the outstanding staff and units. The event was also designed to motivate such service qualities of care and efficiency; thus to establish a standard for our team.

There are three award categories. The first category, namely the Outstanding Service Awards, consists of the Outstanding Performance Awards (for different units) and the Outstanding Staff Awards (five of the best winners from the Outstanding Performance awards). The second category is the Professional Performance Award that is to be given to one person. The third category is the Outstanding Achievement Awards for services and units. In this last category, two separate awards will be given out: "The Most Creative Service" and "The Most Positive Response to Social Needs".

The outstanding staffAmong the panel of adjudicators, besides our agency's directorate and committee board members, professionals from the field are also invited to be on the panel. Other than presenting each winner with a certificate of the award, monetary gifts are included in these awards.

This year is the tenth year of such award presentation. The essence of which has not been changed and indeed it has become a tradition for the agency to show our appreciation to our staff and we trust that it will continue year after year.
