The theme in Hong Kong for the 1999 International Year of Older Persons is "Towards a Society for all Ages." This theme is presented in the drama about the getting along between 3 generations. The story begins with a family consists of a grandfather, parents, and their daughter. Due to each of them has a busy schedule, the lack of communication has gradually become more and more serious. Each of the members thought of the others as the trouble members: grandpa always think of the old days; dad treats everyone as his inferior at work; mom is the stereotype of housewife-mother; and the daughter thinks of herself being a little princess in the family. Then one day, an accident happened and it requires everyone's spirit of interdependence to solve the problem.
There was a special performance held at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Space Museum on June 26, 1999. A special arrangement of the audience was made to fit into the theme "Towards a Society for all Ages." We have elders from elderly hostels and home help service, youths from children and youth centres, children and their parents from foster care service, small group home service, day care centres, and special child care service, etc.
