Lei Cheng Uk and So Uk Integrated Team

The Team was subsidized by the Standard Chartered Community Foundation to set up the "Sun Mui Club: Group for New Arrival Children" in November 1998 until June 1999. Its service recipients are the newly arrived children who are 10 years old or over and who have lived in Hong Kong for less than two years.

The Sun Mui Club was established to help these children to develop the self-understanding ability and supporting network through services like group activities, outdoor training, visiting social services agencies and doing volunteer services. They are also trained to adapt to the new environment and take the role of helping others. Top

Director was elected Treasurer of IFSW

Director Mr Ng Shui Lai was elected Treasurer of the International Federation of Social Workers until the year 2000 during the General Meeting in July 1998.

The International Federation of Social Workers holds its General Meeting every two years. Mr Ng was already elected as the Vice-President (Asia Pacific) of the Federation in 1992 and he has elected twice consecutively by the Federation. However, since any member of the Federation can only hold the same office for three concentive terms, after fulfilling his duties as Vice-President, Mr Ng was then elected as the Treasurer.

The International Federation of Social Workers acts as a link among social workers from different countries in order to promote the professional development of social work.
