Back to HKCS Back to Overview Back to Issue Index

In order to facilitate the use of new media on social welfare, the HKCS has created its own website. The homepages include an overview of the agency, history and development, job vacant, and our 5 types of services (elderly services, youth services, community services, family services, and rehabilitation service). Visitors can also order our publications from the website.

As a social service organization, building a good image as well as providing a 2-way communication channel to the public are of equal importance. Through the Internet, our service objectives and service contents are exposed to public. Without the restriction of a time span, the public can access our services and information anytime they want.

Furthermore, as we emphasize the innovative and research works, it is important to reach the most updated information. The Internet thus allows our staff to access any information around the world. It can also help to establish the liaison with outside bodies like various government departments and colleges, and is a fast and efficient way to speed up the intra-agency and inter-agencies communication without wasting paper and time.
