The 13th Annual Territory-wide Athletics Gala for the Elderly was jointly held by the HKCS, the Provisional Urban Council and the Provisional Regional Council on November 1 at the Kowloon Bay Sports Ground. There were 605 elders aged from 60 to 95 participated in various track and field sports.

Field sports included javelin, shot-put, and softball; track sports included 100M, 200M and 400M races. Among them, the most favorite sport was softball in which 359 participated in it. Besides, 14 different elderly associations competed for the various awards of cheering groups.
