Shamshuipo Outreaching Team

The Shamshuipo Outreaching Team has launched a new 6-month project

called "Project Metamorphosis" on October 6, 1997. The Project is aimed to

fight against gangsters activities in the Shamshuipo area. The service targets

are residents of 6 to 24 years old.

The Team intends to convey the bad influence of gangsters activities

through different types of functions, and to correct the powerful image which

usually relates to gangsters. The first function activity, "The Future's in Your

Own Hands - Story Competition", was carried out in October 1997. It aimed to

enable the youths to use their own thinking to plan for a better future.

Community Development Service

The Tsz Oi/Tsz Man Community Development Project has finally moved

away from Tze Man Estate. The Project has reprovisioned to Blocks 10-11 and

35-41 of Shek Kip Mei Estate since October 1, 1997. It was renamed as Shek

Kip Mei Community Development Project and their temporary office is located

at Cheung Sha Wan.

On the other hand, the Sau Mau Ping Community Development Project

has moved to Shun Lee Tsuen Centre where the temporary office is. Its service
