HKCS Annual Staff Meeting

 Annual Staff Meeting

Hong Kong Christian Service (HKCS) held its Annual Staff Meeting on 16 May at Pui Ching Middle School. 800 staffs attended the meeting this year.

The theme of the event was "Braving the Wind, Fulfilling Visions". Our Chairman, Rev. Li Ping-kwong opened with a sharing on HKCS's Mission Statement. He appreciated the Agency's belief in a "person-centred orientation", which affirms the dignity and uniqueness of the individual, and provides not only professional, creative, excellent but also humane social services though we may face a lot of difficulties. Rev. Li also told stories to express the importance of love and motivation for vision achievement.

Our Chief Executive, Mr. Ng Shui-lai expressed his appreciation to have the Annual Staff Meeting every year to recall HKCS' missions together. "As one of the social service organizations in Hong Kong, we should always be prepared to shoulder the responsibility for mapping out an ideal society, including the development of the mainland despite complex difficulties." He also instructed all HKCS staff to engage globally, to be highly disciplined and to think positively.

This year, the event also featured more staff participation. Six experienced staffs from different types of service work were invited to share their exciting adventures and heart-warming moments while working at HKCS. The event also allowed staff from all service units to interact, share and air concerns with our Chief Executive.
