Visit and Study Program for Practitioners in Mainland
As communication and experience sharing need to be on a two-way track in order to be effective and fruitful, we emphasize much on organising visits and study programs for practitioners in the Mainland. Recently, we have sponsored one key staff from Shanghai LeQun Social Work Service, Ms. Yao Jing, to attend a 2-week study program on elderly service in Hong Kong in March. The main purpose was to help her strengthen her clinical techniques with professionalism on daily services and learn to maintain a close relationship with working partners so as to build up good team spirit.
While in early January, 4 psychiatrists from Guangzhou Bai Yun Jie Du Centre were attached at our Jockey Club Lodge of Rising Sun to learn more on running a drug treatment centre which provides residential detoxification and rehabilitation services. They took part in the group activities, visited 7 other drug treatment centres which operate in different modes and attended sessions of sharing and discussions among our staff and clients. They were all impressed by the professional and humane services we provided.
