Goodwords Campaign Parade

The Goodwords Campaign which aims to promote the usage of good words among family members to enhance harmonious relationship, was organized by Family Networks. The climax of the campaign was the parade program “Goodwords around Yau Tsim Mong District” that took place on 20 January.

Miss Nora Lam, Assistant District Social Welfare Officer of Kowloon City and Yau Tsim Mong District, was the officiating guest of the kick-off ceremony of the parade. Apart from dancing and patrol performances of students, the famous artist couple Mr & Mrs Liu Kai-chi shared their views on encouraging the younger generation to use good language. Last but not least, a three-generation family shared their experiences from joining our Goodwords Campaign program to improve their family relationship.

Throughout the bus parade route, all our participants excitedly called out Goodwords Campaign slogans and waved their promotional flags. They also distributed souvenirs and invited people to sign on to support the campaign along the way with the help of volunteers from various NGOs in the District. It is believed that the message of Goodwords Campaign has widely spread to the community through this program.

After “Goodwords around Yau Tsim Mong District”, the Goodwords Campaign that was scheduled to run for two years is approaching the end. Before ending, we are still organizing educational groups in schools, elderly centres and our centre. Moreover, an education DVD teaching the elders and their families to use good words will also be released soon.
