Together, We Make a Difference!
With the theme "Together, we make a difference", we staged the HKCS Partner Gathering on 21 February. This annual event serves as a thank-you reception to our partners as well as an excellent occasion for sharing experience and views in community service among partners and HKCS representatives. This year, over 30 corporate partners attended the Gathering and met with our Management Committee Chairman and Committee Members, our senior executives and staff from different service sectors (ranging from children, youth, elderly to family service). This opportunity enabled our partners to gain a more comprehensive understanding of our work and enthused new co-operation initiatives.
In fact, our partnership development work has achieved encouraging progress last year. The number of new partners and the width and depth of co-operation with existing partners continue to increase. According to their interest and specialty, the partners have provided their support to us in many different ways. For example, offering volunteer work of various natures, providing free professional services and job placement opportunities for our service users, as well as giving donation and sponsorship in cash and in-kind.
To recognize the partners' contribution in community services and to HKCS, we actively explore channels to provide them their deserved credit. For instance, every year we nominate suitable partners for the Caring Company Scheme organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. This year, we have successfully nominated 51 partners for the "Caring Company Logo" or "Caring Organisation Logo".
