Two New Books Dedicated to HKCS 55th Anniversary

Hong Kong Christian Service (HKCS) has taken the servant's role to serve people from all walks of life in the Hong Kong community. As people are the sole target of a social service organization, our clientele as well as our staff are our most invaluable resources. For our 55th anniversary, we published two new books to express our appreciation and acknowledgement to the hard work of our service users in over coming their obstacles in life and our staff in their work. The two books are entitled: 'I am Proud of Myself' and 'Mission Impossible: Office Goer'.

I am Proud of Myself

'I am Proud of Myself' is a book comprised of 12 encouraging stories about our service users. Among them were some who had overcome their physical disabilities, some who finally woke up from their teenage illusions and others who strived to take up their responsibilities. They led an honest and responsible life for the sake of themselves and their loved ones. They certainly should be proud of themselves.

Mission Impossible: Office Goer

'Mission Impossible: Office Goer' is a compilation of 55 selected articles written by our colleagues for various columns in the past issues of the agency's newsletter, where they shared their experience, feelings and thoughts on their work with HKCS. Through their review and sharing, we hope that the mission of social service could be witnessed and thus attract more support from the community at large.
