Caring Comes from Participating
Caring Comes from Participating

A spirit of care for the community and a cohesive society can be built through cultivating corporate citizenship and partnership between the business and social service sectors. It is most encouraging that more and more corporations join hands with Hong Kong Christian Service in the force of volunteering work.

Caring Comes from Participating

Last September, with sponsorship from the Bank of Communications, its staff volunteers worked together with our Shamshuipo Integrated Home Care Service Team to accompany 41 elders for a day of fun at the 'Skyplaza' in the Hong Kong International Airport.

On that same mid-autumn festival holiday, some children from our Small Group Home Service and Tin Heng Community Networking Project were led by a total of 50 volunteers from Otis Elevator Company (HK) Ltd. and Swire Properties Ltd. to participate in an outdoor sand sculpting competition. After the event, they cleaned up the beach together. The purpose of the activity was to raise the children's awareness in environmental conservation.

It is really a blessing that our service users received such sincere care and concern from the corporations and their staff volunteers. We take this opportunity to give them our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
