Chief Executive Conferred Honorary
University Fellowship by HKBU

Our Chief Executive, Mr. Ng Shui-lai was among the six distinguished persons conferred Honorary University Fellowships (HUF) by the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) at its 52nd Convocation on 4 September 2007, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the academic world and the community of Hong Kong, as well as his significant support to the University .

In recent years, Mr. Ng has led Hong Kong Christian Service in helping with the development of social services in the Mainland. He is currently a member of the Expert Committee on National Social Work Standard of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC. Mr. Ng has been a member of many government committees concerned with social welfare issues and has received numerous honours and appointments, including Justice of the Peace in 1994, an MBE in 1997 and a Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2002. Mr. Ng is a faithful supporter of his alma mater, HKBU. He has served as Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the University's Social Work Department and provided tremendous assistance in developing the Master of Social Work program and contributed to the Department's fieldwork program by providing placements .
