Early Childhood Education Colleagues Led
Workshop at International Education Conference

In July, the Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association conducted its 8th Annual Conference in Hong Kong. Mrs.Tsang Kam Sau Wan, General Manager of our Child Development and Education Core Business, together with Miss Leung Lai Fun, Coordinator of our Early Childhood Education Service attended the conference. They shared their professional expertise with counterparts from all over the world using the theme, "Inspiring Art Potential - Unfolding Citizenship". They shared how elementary schools from HKCS were able to raise young children's level of creativity through teachers training, parental education, creative art activities and public education. Children were encouraged to use multi-media art to express their citizenship, which will gradually develop their sense of civic responsibility. At the same time, parents' and the public's concern and participation in children's art and citizenship education were raised through continuous running of social concern events and art shows.
