Officials from Shenzhen Visited HKCS

On 18 April, 2007, Mr. Bai Tin, the Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China Shenzhen Municipal Committee led a working group of 13 members, including Mr. Liu Run-hua, the Director of the Bureau of Civil Affairs of Shenzhen Municipality, Mr. Qiao Jia-hua, the Director of Shenzhen Finance Bureau and other related officials from various governmental departments to visit the North Point Integrated Children and Youth Service of Hong Kong Christian Service (HKCS).

Mr. Barry Wong Man-sing, the Head of Mainland China Social Service Project, introduced the work of the Agency and presented an overview on the history and current situation of social services in Hong Kong.

One of the working group's aims was to learn more about how to build and develop a standard and professionalized social workers crew in the Mainland. They were able to do so through the sharing of team management experience by the staff at the Agency.
