iHeart Ambassadors Outreach to Hunan
Our iHeart ambassadors launched a 10-day trip to Hunan Zhangjiajie in March to do voluntary work as well as gain new experiences. Their main task was to help reconstruct the recreational facilities for the country school. At the same time, they planned and led games with the students and brightened up the routine school days.
Besides our 8 iHeart youth ambassadors and 2 'good friend' volunteers, a shooting crew from Asia Television Ltd. also accompanied these youths to record their feelings and thoughts on this new experience. The program was broadcasted in May, and provided an opportunity for the public to learn about the inner world of these youths.
Project iHeart is launched to help youths (aged 15 to 24) in Yuen Long who are neither in school nor at work to turn away from the influence of the triad society's sub-culture. Vocational trainings (such as maintenance and renovation skills etc.) and suitable opportunities like experiencing the under-privileged living conditions in the Mainland are arranged and organized to help them establish new identities and gain acceptance from the society.
