A delegation from the Young Men's Christian Association of Shanghai (YMCA) led by the General Secretary, Mr. Wu Jian-rong and Vice General Secretary, Ms. Shen Li-min visited HKCS in February.
The General Manager of our Child Development and Education Core Business, Mrs. Sanly Tsang shared our experience on how early intervention was applied in our Infant Stimulation and Parent Effectiveness Training Service. The group also visited our Choi Wan Early Education and Training Centre. They observed infant individual training, and individual treatment via occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
We shared the different ways of assessing the children's ability and how they learn from playing. We believe that early intervention is important to the infants. As children learn from exploring the environment, more stimulation at the infant age would benefit their early development.
The delegation expressed that parents in Shanghai also believe that more stimulation to the children is essential for their best development. They hope there will be more chances for us to share about our service and training programs that can be applied to Shanghai in the future.
