Last year we sponsored three staff members from Shanghai LeQun Social Work Service Agency to Hong Kong. The purpose was to consolidate their clinical techniques and professional approaches on frontline work. In March of this year, we sponsored another two staff members, Ms. Wang Jin-jing and Ms. Zou Gui-juan to have local attachments.

We organized a 2-week program with a main focus on elderly services for Ms. Wang. She visited our elderly service centres, community service centres, and one day care centre. Our General Manager of Elderly and Health Core Business, Ms. Twiggy Chow, also gave her an overview of the elderly services available in Hong Kong and in our Agency.

As for Ms. Zou, we provided her with a 1-week intensive program. Her special interest was on school social work service. She was stationed at our Integrated Children and Youth Service in Shum Shui Po East for one week and witnessed different school social workers at work.
