Since the launching of the Tin Heng Community Networking Project last October, the increasing need to provide follow-up counseling services to the residents has become evident. The residents experience many challenges such as parenting difficulties, adolescents not engaged in school or work, family members addicted to gambling and in debt, spouses involved in extra-marital affairs and personal emotional disturbance. Thereare also potential crisis like suicide and child abuse.

In view of the situation, starting from June this year, the agency has allocated an additional resource to the Project by adding one more social worker to provide counseling service or referral to relevant agencies to the residents. This is done so that potential crisis can be recognized and averted with early intervention.
