Our 3.20 Walkathon this year opened with a spectacular performance from a dragon dance team composing of one dragon and five lions.

The Walkathon was held at the Lai Chi Kok Park (Phase III) - "Lingnan Garden". With enthusiastic support from our staff, their relatives and friends, those we served through our services and the advocates for what we do at HKCS, we had over 1,100 participants this year and the fund raised was over HK$400,000.

The money was allocated to set up the Tin Heng Community Networking Project, to provide social work service in our day care centres in Shamshuipo and to run a pilot reach-out service to socially withdrawn adults. The surplus would go to our Service Development Fund.

We wait eagerly for an even more exciting walkathon next year and in the years to come!
