Mini-Oscar Drama

 

"All Ages Troupe" took part in the competition of Mini-Oscar Drama "Respect to the Elderly, Love and Care for the Elderly" and won the "Creative Award" and "Mini-Oscar Award" with their masterly performance.

Hong Kong Harmonious Family Drive

Families of WONG Yung Yee and WONG Yung Him of Shek Kip Mei Nursery School and TANG Yui Ming of Lei Cheng Uk Nursery School, participated in "Hong Kong Harmonious Family Drive" organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Women and won the Outstanding Award of Happy Family.

Thematic Award

 

The members of Wan Hon District Elderly Community Centre participated in the competition of short movie "Respect, Love and Care for the Elderly" and won the "Thematic Award".

Hong Kong Harmonious Family Drive

 

Family of Upper class student LAM Hui Ling and Lower class student LAM Hui Ming of Tin Heng Nursery School participated in the "Hong Kong Harmonious Family Drive" organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Women and won the award of the "Most Outstanding Family".

International Children's Art Competition

 

 

Upper class student CHAN Kai Wang of Kwun Tong Nursery School participated in the 31st International Children's Art Competition organised by Kagoshima Limited and won the champion.

Sovereignty 10th Anniversary Celebration Children Painting Competition

 

 

Upper class student LAI Uen Shan of Tai Hang Tung Nursery School participated in the "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Sovereignty 10th Anniversary Celebration Children Painting Competition" organised by Shumshuipo Cultural Association and obtained Outstanding Award.

Mini Olympic

Upper class student TSANG Chun Ning won the 1st runner- up in the 2008 Super Kids Mini Olympic organised by the Chinese Athlete Association.

Upper class student LAM Tak Ai of Wayfoong Nursery School participated in girls group (under 6) obtained champion in Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba and Jive in the 2nd Hong Kong Community Dance Sport Championship.

LCCIEB First Level Book-keeping examination

Graduates of Diploma in Business Accounting and Executive Secretarial Studies, Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre, were awarded the First and Second in Hong Kong prizes of the LCCIEB First Level Book-keeping examination in April 2007:

  • Graduate of Diploma in Business Accounting
    • First in Hong Kong: CHAK Chun Lan, CHONG Tsz Ho, FUNG Man Ching, LEE Wai Ha.
    • Second in Hong Kong: CHAN Mei Chi, CHUNG Lai Lan, LAM Yin Yuk, LEE Nga Man, MA Yin Ping, TAM Kin Wing.
  • Graduate of Diploma in Executive Secretarial Studies
    • First in Hong Kong: MONG Lai Chun, TSANG Kok Shan Carole.

Computerised Accounts Examination

 

Mr FAN Hiu Ting, student of Diploma in Professional Accounting, Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre, was awarded Top Student in the Computerised Accounts Examination, Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians, July 2007, and the HKIAAT 2007/2008 Scholarship.

Annual Report and Final Presentation Competition of JA Company Program

 

In April 2007, Secondary 6 students of Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre participated in the Annual Report and Final Presentation Competition of JA Company Program, obtained the Best Presentation Award.

Gold Award Certificate of volunteer service

Gold Award Certificate was awarded to our volunteers in appreciation in their contribution of 33,820.5 hours of volunteer service to the community in 2007.

Nominated by our Agency, Ms LIN Siu Mui, volunteer of the project, who has been participating in community service enthusiastically, was awarded the 1st runner-up of the Adult Group in Outstanding Volunteer Award 2007 (Yuen Long).

8 clients from Yuen Long District Youth Outreaching Social Work Team received Social Welfare Department Volunteer Service Bronze Certificate Award. They had 579 service hours totally. The awarded volunteers included Mr SUEN Chun Kit with 78.5 hours, Mr KWOK Kin Sing with 74.5 hours and Mr CHAN Lap Shing, Mr CHAN Kwok Ho, Mr LAU Hiu Hung, Mr LAI Gan Ming, Mr CHAN Kam Fai and Mr WONG Ya Ting with 71 hours respectively.

Ms CHURK Sze Ming and Mr CHAN Tung Fuk are volunteers of Yuen Long District Youth Outreaching Social Work Team for several years. They often assist the team in various programs. Ms CHURK had 106 service hours and Mr CHAN had 100 service hours in 2007. The team recognised their services by nominated them to receive the Social Welfare Department Volunteer Service Silver Certificate Award.

Quality Education Fund (QEF) 10th Anniversary Exhibition: Project CARE was one of the best twenty projects which sponsored by QEF for the past ten years.

Outstanding Award of Launching National Education

 

Wayfoong Nursery school obtained the Outstanding Award of "Launching National Education" and was chosen as a pilot school of Launching National Education organised by World Organisation for Early Childhood Education (OMEP).

Hong Kong Green School Award

 

 

Central Nursery School obtained the Hong Kong Green School Award in the 6th "Power Saving Action for Schools".

The Moral and Civic Education Curriculum

"The Moral and Civic Education Curriculum" of Central Nursery School obtained the Outstanding Award of Yan Chai Hospital Moral and Civic Education Award Scheme. The aim of this curriculum is to nurture children's citizen quality and let them understand their rights and practice their responsibilities through participating in social caring activities.

Building.Power Project

"Building.Power" Project won the champion (themetic catagory) in the 2007 Best Practice Award in Social Welfare organised by Hong Kong Council of Social Service. It was a community project co-organised by our Agency and The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA). The project sponsors, CASH Group subsidiaries Pricerite Stores Limited and 3C Digital Limited, gave their generous support by donating cash and furniture. More than a hundred volunteers use their professional architectural knowledge and home care knowledge learned from Pricerite to help a total of 62 disadvantaged families improved their home environment. At the same time, the Project has helped to promote a harmonious environment among family members.

Home Based Counseling Outreach Team

"LET'S Walk" - Home Based Counseling Outreach Team won the champion (non-themetic catagory) in the 2007 Best Practice Award in Social Welfare. It is a home-based counseling team delivers out-reach service to socially withdrawn youth, who lack motivation and direction in life, especially to those who are socially withdrawn and stay at home for months. Our social worker team paid perseverant home visits, counseling and training to promote motivation and hope, in order to help them to reconnect with the society.

Breaking the Cycle of Abuse

"Breaking the Cycle of Abuse" was chosen as the Outstanding Project in the Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare 2007. The project had a multi-disciplinary professional team consisting of social worker, nurse and special child care worker to provide comprehensive service to substance abusive pregnant women. It successfully helped these women to quit drug habits and had a healthy life with their infants.

Online New Page Project

"Online New Page Project" was chosen as the Outstanding Project in the Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare 2007 organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and the Professional Achievement Award of 2007 Staff Award Scheme organised by our Agency. Through casework, therapeutic groups and community education programs, the Project help the youngsters to regain control over their computer use. Besides, effective study was carried out and different professional trainings were delivered.

Civil Consciousness in the Show of Art

 

"Civil Consciousness in the Show of Art" won the Outstanding Performance Award in the 16th Staff Award Scheme of our Agency and was also chosen as the Outstanding Project in the Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare 2007 organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.

Praise of Teacher Scheme

10 teachers of Early Childhood Education Service obtained Commendation Certificate in the 12th Praise of Teacher Scheme organised by Committee on Respect Our Teachers Campaign. They are LUI Yuen Yuen, LAM Pui Shan, LAW Fung Sim, LEE Tze Ching, YIU Kam Wan, CHAN Mei Kuen, CHEUNG Chung On, LUK Kit Ling, NG Wing Yee and WONG Ying.

Best Practice in Corporate Social Responsibility

Our partner, Hysan Development Company Limited together with our Agency designed a program the Ethnic Youth Enhancement Scheme (EYES) - which is to train a group of youngsters, aged between 16 and 21, from ethnic minority groups to teach them practical skills. This program was launched in the summer in 2007 and our partner has won the Best Practice in Corporate Social Responsibility with this program in Best Practice Awards 2007 organised by Best Practice Management.
